Like the rest of the Addams family, Morticia delights in the grim, the macabre, the unfortunate, the psychopathic, the murderous, the dangerous, the grotesque, the morbid, the painful, the horrific, and the supernatural in ways that are pretty much counter to typical attitudes on these topics. Most of the time this is played for laughs in nearly ever version of The Addams Family, the film being no exception. However, as this is a woman who took away a knife from her daughter for her brother, only to hand her a larger cleaver, and acts in a similar vein all the time, I am aware that this is not everyone's brand of humor and that she could be a very unsettling or possibly triggering character to tag.
